How do I get my program on Ste. Genevieve Community Access Television?
There are four ways to get a program on Ste. Genevieve Community Access Television (SGPTV).
1. If you have a video tape that you would like shown on SGPTV, just bring it Ste. Genevieve City Hall and drop it off on the front counter. Please date and sign the REQUEST FOR CABLECAST form and leave it with the tape. Tapes cannot be shown until the form has been signed. I will pick the tape up, make a copy of it, adding titles and disclaimers and schedule it for airing. Your original tape will be placed back on the counter a few days later for you to pick up.
2. If you have an event you would like videotaped, you can record it yourself, find a friend or someone else to do so or, for a donation, Channel 7 may have someone come out and videotape it for you. Please call us at 573-883-7675 as early as possible to make arrangements. If I am not here, leave a message on the phone or you can just e-mail me. If you need a camcorder or other equipment let us know as early as possible.
3. If you would like to do a live program from our studio in the basement of city hall, just call us and tell us what you would like to do. You can do a call in show, a panel discussion, musical program or whatever, it is totally up to you. There may be a donation needed to cover the time our studio personnel have to be here. Again, call 573-883-7675 for details.
4. If you are not located within the city of Ste. Genevieve, you may submit your videotape by mail to our mailing address: Ste. Genevieve Community Access Television, 165 South 4th Street, Ste. Genevieve MO 63670. Please print out the following form (copy and paste) and submit it with your video tape. If you have any questions please use the Email button on the left to contact us.
You must complete the following forms and submit with your tape or bring with you for any live cable cast. These forms are in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Who pays for Ste. Genevieve Community Access Television?
The City of Ste. Genevieve has contracted with Ste. Genevieve Community Access Television (SGCAT) to operate the city's Public Educational and Government Television Channel. The channel was created by the city's franchise agreement with the cable company.
A portion of the funding for SGCAT comes from this contract, which totals $10,000. This money comes from the franchise fee which is collected by the cable company each month. In addition, the city also passes along to SGCAT a 25 cent per subscriber PEG access fee. Both of these are a part of the subscribers cable bills and are paid by subscribers. No taxpayer funds are used for SGCAT.
But, it costs more than that to operate Channel 7. So, SGCAT accepts donations from community-minded organizations. SGCAT is a 501 (c) (3) organization for tax purposes, which means donations are tax deductible. Many organizations which put programs on SGCAT also make donations, but there is no charge to put a program on the air. There may be a donation asked if SGCAT personnel are needed to put in extra time in the studio or videotaping an event.
SGCAT also makes available copies of most programs shown on the channel. (Exceptions are programs which are copyrighted.) A minimum donation of $10 is asked for these tapes.
Gifts to Channel 7 and 98 can be acknowledged on the screen or can be anonymous. We appreciate all donations.
